A household powder is not automatically food-safe
Instructions for cleaning with washing soda must not be transferred to baking, tooth cleaning or ingestion. A product used with food must be expressly intended for that purpose. Neither white color nor a pure label confirms it.
Even chemically related substances can have different formulations and impurity requirements. Do not translate only a recipe title; first clarify which substance is actually meant. With unclear labeling, do not test it by trying, smelling or tasting.
Follow the specific cleaning instructions
