A randomized trial published in 1994 investigated 262 people after curative surgery for gastric cancer. Participants received the chemotherapy of that period with or without added PSK. After at least five years, disease-free outcomes and overall survival favored the PSK group. This concerns that historical treatment regimen, not mushroom treatment alone. [1]
